THE REGIONAL HISTORY MUSEUM IN LUHANSK - EXHIBITION IN GENEVA.
The Regional History Museum in Luhansk has been supported by OBMIN and partners for over six months, leading to the establishment of a new exhibition in the showcase venue of the Université de Genève, among other things. From December 7, 2023 to January 19, 2024, an exhibition showcasing the museum will be held in Geneva.

The Luhansk region, being a center of conflict, holds many stories. Within this exhibition, you will have the opportunity to discover the perspectives of individuals who have shaped and experienced it firsthand, as well as those who are currently dedicated to revitalizing and saving its rich heritage.

The museum faced significant challenges during the invasion of Russia, losing not only its valuable collections but also its physical location, forcing it to relocate twice.

However, despite the loss of its physical attributes, the museum is now undergoing rebirth, creating a place that stimulates reflection and clears the path for a more prosperous tomorrow. The creation of the exhibition was possible thanks to the OBMIN funds, scholarships for employees from Gerda Henkel Stiftung, and equipment supply from Die Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien.
