NATIONAL LITERARY AND MEMORIAL MUSEUM OF H.S. SKOVORODA IN SKOVORODYNIVKA
National Literary and Memorial Museum of H.S. Skovoroda is a place of national significance where Hryhorii Skovoroda spent his last days. The museum was opened in 1972 and has a rich collection related to the life and work of the philosopher. The local park with its sculptural alleys reflects Skovoroda's teachings on self-awareness and spiritual harmony. Before the war, the museum was a center of cultural and mass activities, hosting scientific conferences and festivals. On May 6, 2022, a Russian missile accurately hit the Museum building, almost completely destroying it. Despite war destruction, the museum continues its operations, focusing on scientific and cultural projects. Today, the museum actively develops its tourist infrastructure and preserves the legacy of the great philosopher for future generations.
