It is a local history museum in the city of Lysichansk, one of the three museums of the city. It was founded in 1964 in the building of the former Steiger school and in 1991 it was moved to new premises at the address of ave, Victories, 94. The museum has 7 exhibition halls, the fund collection includes more than 17 thousand exhibits of the main and auxiliary funds.
