CITY MUSEUM IN LVIV
The City Museum is a cultural institution focused on researching the interaction between the city and its residents. The museum is open to new formats and invites co-creation. The priority direction of our work is to involve the local community in communication and participation.
The City Museum does not have a permanent exhibition. Instead, we create temporary exhibitions and implement educational and project initiatives both within the museum and in urban spaces. The team has over eight years of experience in organising events dedicated to current issues in urban life.
The museum is located in the basement of Lviv City Hall, covering an area of over 600 square metres. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the space began to function as a shelter, and active exhibition activities were suspended. Now, despite limited access (by prior registration), MuMi continues to hold participatory meetings, lectures, and workshops for adults and children. One of the museum's most famous projects is a series of children's quests around Lviv called ‘Like a Fish in the City.’
