The Preserve is a large historical, architectural and cultural complex in the Pechersk district of the city that showed up on the grounds of a mighty and the oldest Lavra-Monastery founded in 1051. It is one of the well-known state museum institutions that covers 50 acres and includes 144 monuments of architecture. It is under the UNESCO auspice. It represents exhibitions, interiors of the churches and caves with holy relics of well-known Orthodox saints etc.
